For deployments exceeding this scale or requiring non-blocking fabric at 100G+ per port, we recommend modular chassis platforms. Chassis solutions offer higher per-slot bandwidth but carry 20-40% higher per-port cost and 8-12 week lead times.

Both approaches have merit. A single-vendor stack provides unified management, one support contact, and pre-validated interoperability — ideal for carrier central offices and mission-critical environments. Open/disaggregated networking (OpenConfig, SONiC, white-box hardware) reduces vendor lock-in and can lower hardware costs by 30-50%, but increases integration testing responsibility. We support both: our proprietary NOS for tight integration, and full OpenConfig/YANG compliance for multi-vendor environments.

Standard enterprise models operate from 0C to +50C with 10-90% non-condensing humidity. For outdoor, industrial, or military applications, our ruggedized line rated at -40C to +65C (NEBS Level 3 or MIL-STD-810G) is required. Operating standard models outside their rated envelope will trigger thermal protection shutdown and void the warranty.
